In 2024 the festival of light runs from 25th october to 24th november on thursdays, fridays, saturdays and sundays (daily during the half term holiday) alongside the traditional illuminations at roker and seaburn along the front (which are on every day).

Sunderland city council has now released tickets for the ever popular festival of light event in roker park. The festival of light returns to mowbray park in october, with tickets going on sale for the event which will feature a ‘dazzling laser garden, giant glitter ball and stunning new light.
